What is PLAY Muskegon?

PLAY Muskegon is an indoor imaginative play center featuring a tiny town with unique themed environments, including a miniature grocery store, construction zone, school, and more.

Our space is designed for children and their caregivers to explore creativity, build confidence, and develop crucial developmental skills through hands-on play.

What age group is best suited for PLAY Muskegon?

The children who get the most benefit out of PLAY Muskegon are aged 6 and under to walking age. There are activities and play prompts that cater to older children, too.

Do parents/caregivers need to stay with their children?

Yes, children must be supervised by their responsible adult at all times. We believe in collaborative play between children and their caregivers!

How much does it cost?

Our pricing options include:

  • Standard Session: $10 booked online, $12 at the door
  • Specialty Session: $15 if there is a special class

Can I get a refund if we need to cancel?

Tickets are non-refundable, but we do allow transfers if requested at least three days prior to your reservation.

Memberships are non-refundable.

Do you accept cash or card?

PLAY Muskegon is a cashless venue. Please plan accordingly if you wish to make any purchases at our on-site café.

We accept major credit cards when booking online.

Sessions & Booking

Do I need to book my PLAY session online ahead of time?

We highly recommend booking your PLAY session ahead of time to ensure you are able to reserve your preferred time and are able to take advantage of our discounted rate for booking ahead online. That said, we do accept walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.

Please keep in mind that only 30 children per time slot are allowed.

How far in advance can I book a PLAY session?

Online bookings must be made at least an hour in advance of your desired play session.

You can book up to 1 month ahead to secure your preferred time slot.

For last-minute bookings, please email us directly to check availability.

When do I have to arrive for my PLAY session?

Please plan to arrive approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled session starts. The doors will remain locked until this time to allow us to prepare our area for your visit.

In case of inclement weather, we will do our best to open the doors sooner, but please stay in the cafe side of the building until the PLAY session begins.

How long do PLAY sessions last?

Our standard PLAY sessions last 90 minutes (80 minutes of play, 10 minutes of clean-up).

We offer multiple sessions throughout the day.

Guests must leave at the allotted end time to allow our staff time to clean and reset the PLAY area before our next guests arrive.

On occasion, we do offer extended PLAY sessions. These special sessions may or may not be offered at our standard rates, and may vary through-out the year.

What are your hours of operation?

Our winter hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5:30pm. We are closed on Bank Holidays. Visit our Plan Your Visit page for the latest hours an session times. 

Health & Safety

What are your cleaning procedures?

We thoroughly clean and reset our play area between each session to ensure a healthy, welcoming environment for all guests.

What is your illness policy?

If your child has been ill within 48 hours of your scheduled visit, please refrain from visiting. Contact us 24 hours in advance, and we’ll help you reschedule your session.

What is your policy regarding footwear?

The PLAY area is a no-shoe zone, please remove your shoes before entering and please wear socks at all times. If there are medical shoes that need to be worn please contact us before your visit.

Food & Amenities

Do you serve food and drinks?

Yes, we have an in-house café serving specialty coffee and light snacks.

Please note we are a cashless venue.

Can we bring our own food?

Only food purchased on the premises may be consumed. We make exceptions for specific dietary requirements – please contact us prior to your visit to discuss.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we offer on-site parking available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Special Events & Parties

Do you host birthday parties?

Can we bring decorations for parties?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own decorations and catering. However, please no face paint, confetti, or glitter. Our Party Attendants will be available to help with setup.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes, we offer special rates for field trips, mommy meet-ups, and other group activities. Please contact hello@playmuskegon.com to discuss group pricing.

Do you offer any membership options?

How do annual memberships work?

Visit our yearly membership page to purchase a membership. Get a discount when buying one for multiple kids.

Memberships are tied to a specific child. When purchasing, you’ll fill out your child’s name and birthday.

Once paid for, we will manually process the order. Once that happens, we will create a unique code for your account. When the code is used at checkout, standard and early book sessions will be free. Please give us at least 48 hours to process your order.

Your unique code is tied to your account and cannot be used for other children.
